Pine Township, Mercer County, PA


The Pine Township Building at 545 Barkeyville Rd. and Pine Township Community Center at 549 Barkeyville Rd. are located on Route 208 East of Grove City. It is located approximately 4 miles from Prime Outlets on exit 113 off of I-79 or on exit 24 off of I-80. Pine Township currently has approximately 900 water and sewer customers and surrounds Grove City Borough. There are four Townships and two Counties that border Pine Township. Pine Township currently has five full time public work employees to maintain roads, water, and sewer lines. The Pine Township Volunteer Fire Co.(Pine Township Engine Company) occupies a portion of the Township Building. The Fire Department proudly serves Pine and Wolf Creek Townships.

Pine Township was established on February 17, 1851 from the central part of Wolf Creek Township. It was once called "Pine Grove" Township. The first Settlers were John Perry, John Sutherland, James Miller, James Glenn and Thomas McCoy.

Pine Township owns and operates a public water distribution system and a public sewer collection system that serves areas of the township.
